Speeches was created to solve a simple, real problem. While I (Cristiano) was studying abroad, I realized how hard it was to find someone to practice speaking a language with. I didn’t want just grammar exercises — I needed real conversations with real people.

But finding a language partner nearby wasn’t easy. I was looking for someone to improve my speaking skills with, someone to meet in person, and nothing like that existed.

That’s when the idea for Speeches was born. Together with Pierfilippo, and after months of work, we turned our vision into an app that helps people connect, practice languages in real life, and build meaningful friendships.

Today, Speeches has thousands of users who use the app every day to meet, chat, and practice more than 17 languages around the world.
We’re proud to have helped so many people overcome the same problem we faced — and even happier to see new friendships being born every day.
